After such a hectic weekend, it felt good to be back at work and today's task was to find the perfect craft to make inspired by the Manics for Crafty In The City.
I managed to narrow my ideas down to a necklace, guitar strap and brooch. Then I decided to ask the Internet for help - they liked the guitar strap and the necklace, but in the end I decided I'd make them all.
In the evening, Dad had got everybody tickets for Pint Of Science, a night of science lectures at the pub. I felt a bit like Penny from The Big Bang Theory sitting in a room full of geniuses but I did my best to keep up and understand the geomagnetic activity graphs.
Luckily there was beer, burgers and even a pub quiz - which we were doing pretty good at until we got one answer wrong and the rest of the room had a perfect score.
