This morning we went for breakfast at the Chicago Diner, an awesome vegan diner which came highly recommended from Elisha on Cut Out + Keep.
I tried to order the meatiest thing on the menu, which was eggs benedict while Tom had a bacon cheeseburger.
Janna recommended a cool vintage store called the Hollywood Mirror where we tried on all kinds of crazy hats. Photography wasn't allowed in the store, so I don't have any photos to show you.
Tracy said that we get a sweet from The Bleeding Heart which was a super cool punk-rock bakery.
We got some cake balls to take away.
We then headed down to Navy Pier, which was really pretty and went on the ferris wheel like Charity had suggested.
The view over Chicago was beautiful.
We then went for a drink at the Matchbox bar which was next to a restaurant based inside a train carriage.
Polywig recommended the lemon drop martini which was delicious and served with the overspill in the cocktail shaker.
In the evening gdgt were hosting a gadget testing party with free drinks and lots of gadgets to play with.
One of the coolest apps of the night was SilvrSpoon which let you order drinks from your seat.
It worked! You scan a barcode which lets the waitress know where you are and she brings the drinks direct to you.
We got to meet Peter Rojas in person and he was so nice. We chatted for ages about the internet, his old band, America and when he use to live in Brighton. He wants us to come for vegan food when we get to New York.
