As it's their birthday in a couple of weeks, we wanted to treat them to lunch in Searcys at the top of the Gherkin.
The restaurant was nice and quite when we arrived and we were sat right next to the window with a gorgeous view over the city.
I had the smoked salmon to start which was served on a super seed loaf with pesto yoghurt.
Next, I tucked into a spiced fillet of cod with potato puree and greens with capers and shrimps.
For dessert, I had the salted caramel frangipane with apple sorbet.
All the other dishes looked really good too.
Mum treated us to coffee up in the bar afterwards where we could see 360 degree views all over London.
