Today was a long day of driving through Kansas and there wasn't much to stop off and see.
Tom spotted a cricket at one of the rest stops. I love the sound they make at night, it's so loud hear in the midwest.
We went for dinner at McCormick & Schmick's when we arrived in Kansas City. We'd heard them mention their amazing chocolate bag dessert on the Church Of Lazlo and knew we needed to check it out.
It was such a warm night that we decided to sit out on the terrace where they had a band playing.
I had a tasty salad for my dinner, while Tom had a bowl of mussels. We were trying to save as much space as we could for the dessert.
The chocolate bag was everything it promised to be and just as gigantic. The bag is made from dark chocolate and filed with white chocolate mousse and berries. It needed to be served with a steak knife to break through the thick chocolate at the bottom.
