Seeing a building being demolished has been on Tom's wish list for a while, so we headed up to Dundee for the day where two buildings, Bucklemaker Court and Butterburn Court in the Hilltown where being blown up.
We kicked off the day with breakfast at The Parlour Cafe where I tucked in to a yummy bowl of yogurt and granola.
We then popped in to the DCA to have a look at the latest exhibition which was by Johanna Basford whose book, Secret Garden, we're currently giving away on CO+K at the moment.
Her sketches were amazing and I loved seeing her studio setup in the back room.
It was then time to take our spots for the demolition, though nobody knew exactly what time it would be. We headed to the roof of the Overgate, which had the perfect view over the city.
Annoyingly the security guards for the mall decided to close the roof and kick everyone out on to the streets, seconds before the demolition. Luckily, we made it out to the street just in time to see them drop and it happened so quick.
Afterwards we headed to St Andrews for a tour of the Eden Brewery.
We had the tour to ourselves and our guide was really enthusiastic. It was fun getting to smell all the different types of hops to find out which ones we liked and which ones we hated.
The best part of the tour came at the end when we got to try all the different kinds of beer. They were all pretty good.
We stopped in Anstruther for fish and chips on our way back home.
I'm glad we had our chips to eat in because the seagulls were looking pretty vicious as we left.
We stopped off in Burntisland to give my Nana some chips and see how her new cat, Dime was getting on.
