Afterwards we went to Tarina Tarantino’s shop which was very pretty but closed!
We also had a look in the West Village Apple store which was lovely.
We then picked up some cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery (which is in Sex and the City Movie) and walked around the West Village for a while. Tom decided that this was the area we want to live in NY.
Afterwards we went to Central Park where Tom took my on a horse and carriage ride, which was so pretty in the snow. We huddled under a furry blanket to stay warm.
It was fun at the start of the ride when we got to go through the streets in between the taxis in our carriage.
We picked up a hot dog and a pretzel from one of the street vendors after the ride and went to explore the park further.
We ate our Magnolia cupcakes and admired the view. There was still lots of snow in the park and melting snowmen.
We then walked to the reservoir (another suggestion from the ladies at Plan 9) to take in the view of the city.
As we wouldn't get a chance for a proper Valentne's date, I took Tom for dinner at Sweetiepie, a super cute restaurant in the West Village.
The decor was so pretty and they had a bird cage in the corner. There was a man on a Valentine’s date with two ladies sitting in it and he had a huge bag of presents for them both, popping out two of each item. I had mac n cheese with a pinkalicious drink and then we had absinthe & champagne cocktails for dessert.
The Empire State Building was all lit up pink and red for Valentine's Day.
We headed to the first floor to admire the view and then decided to pay double, so that we could go to the very top.
When we got to the very top Tom pulled out a gorgeous Tiffany & Co. diamond ring, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Of course I said yes! This will be a very long engagement though.
