Today was the highlight of my trip when we went to Cafe des 2 Moulins, the two windmills cafe from the movie Amélie.
It was amazing inside and just like the movie. They even had all the polaroids of Amélie’s Dad’s gnome around the world.
Of course I ordered myself the famous Amélie Poulain @[52500030448:crème brûlée] and a hazelnut hot frappe. I think it may well have been the most perfect crème brûlée I've had. Mission accomplished.
There were lots of other tourists taking photos in the cafe too. We sat for a long time and read.
We then walked down the streets of Montmartre in to the center of Paris. We passed the Moulin Rouge on the way.
We did a bit of window shopping in Galeries Lafayette which was all lit up for Christmas. There was an amazing habdsashery section and I took lots of photos for inspiration. I also got Tom a Hello Kitty candy camera and Mum got him some stuff too, which they wrapped beautifully.
We swooned over the Vivienne Westwood. They had my heart ring in bright pink and I really want the horns.
We then walked down to the Louvre which looked pretty all lit up.
We made our way down to the embankment and I bought my Nana one of the light up Eiffel Towers. I also got Tom some more presents and received the 11th compliment on my Vivienne Westwood bag.
We walked to a bridge where we had a good view of the Eiffel Tower's and waited for the top of the hour, so that we could oooh and aww at the sparkling light show.
We then headed back to the hotel for our last night and to eat up the remaining food.
