It was the Notting Hill Carnival this weekend.

The parade route comes within a block of our house, so we woke to the bass of reggae music playing from the numerous sound systems set up in the streets.

We wandered down and it was like one huge street party. Everywhere was so crowded, it took us a long time to walk the few blocks.

We bought cans of Red Stripe from somebody’s house window.

Levi Roots had a huge queue outside of his stall. It smelled so good and he was singing and dancing.

There were lots of pretty floats too and I wanted to join in the candy parade and dress up as a lollipop.
